the cabin. One is installed on the inboard face of the left
forward vestibule cabinet (behind an access door) and the
other is adjacent to the seat located in the forward club,

AV80 Honeywell CMF (Communication Management Function) 11
CMF serves as an Aircraft Communications Addressing and
Reporting System (ACARS). Information desired is requested
and received by the flight crew through either MCDU and is
transmitted to a network of VHF ground stations via VHF
Datalink. The system provides the flight crew with the
following services: flight planning, inflight weather
reports, Air Traffic Services (ATS), and text messaging.
This system provides textual information only on the MCDU.
The VHF Datalink option (AV40), is required to serve as the
communication path. Subscription service with an ACARS

Honeywell TR-86A VDR (VHF Digital Radio) communications
module provides a VHF datalink path for the Communication
